As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to take a toll on the arts industry, we launched a “Keep Artists Employed” Artist Support Fund to help offset the loss of income due to cancelled rehearsals, residencies, after school programs, projects and performances. 100% of the proceeds goes directly to our artists.
Artist Support Fund
Heart. Effort. Curiosity. Commitment. This combination of qualities is what spurs our efforts at Jane Franklin Dance.
Your financial partnership directly supports:
- Concert production provides artist stipends, costumes and supplies for new projects like ‘Going Polar,’ a community driven movement-theatre work with live music by skilled guitarist and composer Mark Sylvester.
- Dance education offers kids the chance to create, express and perform through after-school programs. Help us continue programming with our partner schools Carlin Springs Elementary, Ferdinand T. Day Elementary and Jefferson Houston PreK-8 School.
- Forty+ & workshops for older adults provide adult dance programming such as free healthy movement workshops at senior centers, classes for active older adults and rare performance opportunities for dancers over the age of 40.
- Performances for children delight young audiences with physical storytelling. Support family-friendly performances at Theatre on the Run and free programming at local libraries and other community outreach locations.Thank you for your tax-deductible contribution and for your kindness in supporting our artistic mission.
