Join us for summer camp! Young dancers participate in dance and movement classes, art projects, and creative assignments during in-person week-long camps.

In Fantastic Voyage, the group selects the journey: outer space, haunted house, mountains high or ocean deep. In The Big Meow discover your inner cat. In Camp Cupcake conquer a sweet tooth. Examine emotions through color in Splatter, explore transformation in the Magic Butterfly or life cycles in Why Do Cicadas Scream? Favorite creatures show up in Fantastic Animals and Here Comes the Parade delights in repetition and pattern. Enjoy a week or more of fun and creativity. We adhere to safety protocols.

Counselor-in-Training – Ages 12-14 – for camps with younger students.
Excitement is as easy as the wave of a wand. Explore the glorious creatures of field and forest and the butterfly life cycle through movement and art. Perform for family and friends by the end of the week.
June 21 – 25 Ages 7 – 11
Get creative with movement, theater and art to make big discoveries about repetition, patterns, small changes for big fun. Perform for family and friends by the end of the week
June 28 – July 2 Ages 6 – 10
Have a sweet tooth? Take in delicious movement and art that tingles your senses. Show your luscious explorations to family and friends by the end of this sprightly four day and festive post-holiday camp
July 6 – July 9 Ages 5 – 9
Be inspired by the movement and sounds of animals. Create an imaginary world of furry friends through movement, theater and art. Perform for family and friends by the end of the week.
July 12 – 16 Ages 6 – 11
Emotions are associated with color in this spoken word and movement adventure through sadness blue, bright and shiny happiness, angry red, gray shadows, calm green. Perform a colorful story about incidental accidents for family and friends by the end of the week.
Aug 17 – 21 Ages 7 – 12
Explore the cicada life cycle and themes of transformation and change through movement, theater and art. Perform for family and friends by the end of the week
Aug 9 – 13 Ages 5 – 9
Embark on a creative journey of movement, theater and visual art. Whether it’s camping, outer space, high in the mountains or in a haunted house, you’ll develop a show for family & friends by the end of the week.
Aug 16 – 20 Ages 7 -11
Perfect for kids who love cats! Follow an inspiring storyline to explore your inner cat and the need for belonging through movement, theater and visual art. At the end of the week perform for family and friends.
Aug 23 – 27 Ages 5 – 10
Need-based Summer Scholarships are available for 10% – 40% off enrollment. Scholarship Application
Volunteer for one week or more. This is a great way to gain community service hours. You will receive a letter of completion and certificate documenting your hours of service. We welcome older adults as well as teens, age 15 and above.

A $35 non-refundable registration fee is included in enrollment/camp. Each summer camp is subject to enrollment minimum of 5 students. Extended Day is subject to an enrollment minimum of 3 students. Full refunds are issued if a camp is cancelled. (Camps may be exchanged up to 30 days prior to the start date. Missed camps may not be exchanged.) All requests for refunds must be made in writing and sent to Jane Franklin Dance. In the event of illness we cannot offer a refund and we provide no make-up policy.
Beginning May 1, 2021, camp refunds will be issued at the following rates:
- 75% of camp fee refund up to 28 days prior to the first day of camp
(minus registration fee and transaction fee)
- 50% of camp fee refund up to 21 days prior to the first day of camp
(minus registration fee and transaction fee)
- No refund will be issued less than 14 calendar days prior to the start of camp.
- Payment is not based on attendance; it is the responsibility of the guardian to cancel, by the deadline, if the camper won’t attend.
Contingency for changes due to building occupancy restrictions:
We have been assured by Arlington County that we will receive ample notice regarding building occupancy. If a transition to a virtual camp is made, families will be notified immediately. Upon notification, you may (1.) withdraw and receive a refund or (2.) continue enrollment and receive an additional camp week free of charge.
Requested refunds will be issued according the schedule above.
All purchases made through Jane Franklin Dance are subject to a transaction fee. This applies to all credit/debit transactions whether in person, online, or over the phone.
As per Arlington County requirements, all students 10 years old and younger must be escorted to and from the building by a parent or responsible adult, i.e. they may not be dropped off or picked up in the parking lot. Enter the building from the back parking lot and sign in at the building monitor’s desk. Camp Packets include required media waiver and emergency contact forms for parents/guardians to sign and return to Jane Franklin Dance prior to camp start date.
