In virtual day camps, students explore movement and art, words and imagination.

Day Camps conclude with a showing for family and friends at 11:30. 

Fall 2020 Day Camps– Ages 6 – 11

9:00 am-9:50 am – Dance Class (modern, jazz, or ballet techniques)
9:50-10:00 am – Snack/Bathroom/Water Break
10:00 am-10:50 am – Performance Rep (based on day camp theme)
10:50 am-11:15 am – Visual Art Project
11:15-11:25 – Performance review
11:30-Zoom showing for family and friends

Students will receive art project packets via postal mail.  The mailer will include print-outs, instructions and some supplies.  We will share and collaborate on movement using Zoom break-out rooms. Students will receive a Vimeo link to view a past performance and draw inspiration.   In the tradition of our in-person Summer Camps, we will show our work at the end of the day.

Be inspired by the movement and sounds of creatures in your household or by the imaginary world of a favorite toy.  We’ll create a dance that features our creatures.  

Nov 3 (Election Day) – Splatter (cancelled)

Emotions are associated with color in this spoken word and movement adventure through sadness blue, bright and shiny happiness, angry red, gray shadows, calm green.

Nov 11 (Veteran’s Day) – Why Do Cicadas Scream?

Excitement is as easy as the wave of a wand. Explore the cicada life cycle and themes of transformation and change through movement and art.
