We are seeking Board Members to help with our annual Benefit, with productions in Arlington at Theatre on the Run, with a concert in November at Dance Place in Washington DC. We offer projects for older adults and classes in dance technique, family-friendly performances, camps for youth and unique partnerships with music, media, and visual artists.  If you have a desire to lead, have experience with event planning, or just want to start out, we welcome your participation

The Board of Directors:

• networks with business and non-profit organizations in Alexandria & Arlington;
• cultivates donors and promotes individual giving;
• aids in program planning and offers guidance in marketing and financial management

Expected Time Commitment: The board meets every 6 weeks on Tuesdays evenings at 7 pm at 3700 S Four Mile Run Drive in Arlington.  If you are interested, complete this Board of Directors fill-in Form (download; then open it in your files.  Fill it out and then return.  The information won’t ‘save’ if it is filled out just by opening) then email to janefranklindance@gmail.com.  Positions open immediately. Board-of-Directors-Packet

Volunteers
We are seeking volunteers to assist with Saturday youth classes, and for production needs for concerts and Dance Place and at Torpedo Factory Arts Center – click highlighted and find a complete schedule of upcoming classes or performances.  We welcome young people age 15 and up to apply.  Develop classroom management skills while fulfilling an interest in teaching children, or in production management. You will receive a letter of recommendation noting the number of contributed hours plus a certificate of completion. EMPLOYMENT

Seeking Dancers for Various Projects
We are seeking male dancers for the 2015 – 16 Season.  Rehearsals take place on Mondays from 4 pm – 8 pm and Thursdays from 8:00 am – 11:30 at 3700 S Four Mile Run Drive in Arlington.  Some longer block rehearsals are scheduled as needed.   Performances are paid; there is an hourly rehearsal rate.  We are willing to make some adjustment for other employment obligations.  Commitment is per project or longer contract. Administrative Assistant (The position is filled, but we are accepting LOI for future openings.)
This is an administrative hourly position open for 20 – 25 hours/wk, in coordination with the Artistic Director and Board of Directors.  Experience with dance, arts marketing, Microsoft Office, knowledge of graphic design and previous marketing experience is required.  Work hours are flexible, but most take place Mondays-Fridays at our office at 3700 S Four Mile Run Drive, Arlington (accessible by MetroBus and DASH bus –  there is free parking behind the building) .  Assistance is required for some performances or non-business day hours.  Compensation DOE and subject to board approval. Administrative-Associate-Job-Description
