Jane Franklin Dance Company is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Your tax deductible contribution helps us to continue community projects, grow artistically and expand dance education.

Jane Franklin Dance is the proud recipient of a competitive grant from the Creative Communities Fund of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region. The grant sponsors the production of Breaking Ground with collaborators Sean Watkins, DC Film Alliance, and East Coast Round Wall Foundation. The project combines round wall skate boarders with company dancers for video and live performance at the Navy Memorial Plaza, DC Shorts Film Fest, and Navy Memorial Heritage Center in December 2008.

As well as Breaking Ground, our coming subscription season will contain more new collaborations and pieces from our repertoire. In addition, a variety of community performances and workshops for youth and senior adults will continue neighborhood involvement as we connect through dance in site specific locations or just around the corner. We invite your participation to present a wide array of new and exciting works.

Our fundraising goal for 2008 - 09 is $10,000 from our friends to support our upcoming season. You can help Jane Franklin Dance by making a tax-deductible donation to our Spring Fundraising Campaign. You can donate several ways:

Over the past eleven seasons, Jane Franklin Dance has remained steadfast in its mission. Collaboration is central to our artistic focus and results in partnerships with musicians, media and visual artists. Movement workshops bring youth and Senior Adults into active participation in dance. Whether on stage, outdoors, in the classroom, rehearsal room, or at a community gathering, Jane Franklin Dance provides an avenue to share collective experience. Your contribution will help us maintain and grow our performance schedule and community programming.
