“The Mouse of Amherst” Camp
Express yourself and find your passion in the performing arts with Jane Franklin Dance. The Mouse of Amherst explores an unlikely friendship between Emily Dickinson and a lively mouse. Children learn that everyone can write about their feelings and even a mouse can create poetry. This engaging dance camp will spark imagination with classes that explore basic dance concepts, visual arts and poetry. Students create a role that is performed by the end of the week. Staff to participant ratio: 1:8. Ages 7-9

“The Big Meow” Camp
Express yourself and find your passion in the performing arts with Jane Franklin Dance. The Big Meow is a book by Elizabeth Spires, where Little Cat, who desperately wants to belong to the group is taunted by the neighborhood felines because his meow is too loud. This book will come to life through movement, creative problem solving and physical story-telling. By the end of the week, you’ll be on stage and be a star. You’ll stretch your muscles, create and share a cat-like vocabulary of movement, and perhaps even become a cat.: Staff to participant ratio 1:8. Ages 5 – 7
